I work primarily on Aristotle’s biology; right now I am thinking about eggs in Aristotle’s embryology and external gestation more broadly. My research generally concerns ancient Graeco-Roman natural philosophy and metaphysics, how they are influenced by ancient medicine and veterinary science, and their ethical and political entanglements.
